Continua Continuum – oil on canvas 36h x 24w
I recently found myself at an artistic crossroads where I needed to make some critical decisions. Continua Continuum is one of a few art works that illustrates the breakthroughs that have occurred over the past month. I’ve chosen to be more expressionistic (which comes naturally) explore different methods of paint handling and contemplate how I can pull some of the raw drawing strengths I have into paintings.
The new oil paintings are a combination of heavily worked areas with palette knives and metal sculpting tools – interwoven with delicate glazing and intricate brush work. These paintings represent another pivotal point in my artistic development.
