Little "Luna No.5" in a soft and sagey contextual frame. I like mocking up the artwork in-situ to not only help show how it could look, but to potentially enhance or change the feel of a piece. Thoughtful framing can add so much to an artwork. I tend to love oversized mat boards with loads of space between the art and a gigantic frame, but I know when to pull it all in and go for a minimalistic streamlined approach too. The work often lets you know what it needs, right?

The heavy weight on the bottom paired with the airiness in the composition...and then I layered shots of electric-like white organic shapes to enhance the overall contrast and textural aspects.

This place never gets old. I don't know why...you would think it would but it seems like I experience something different each time. A warm Fall day - two young women with a 12 pack of bagels thought to have a pleasant bagel and cream cheese lunch. Little do they know...the ducks are relentlessly charming little beggars. The women had to move away 4 times, bagels in their hands..to my delight. Go duckies go! 🦆

Detail image of "Luna No.3" 🌜 to help show diversification of the use of mediums. I absolutely love throwing everything and the kitchen sink at my work, but sometimes it means the work breaks. This approach can be ok at times because it's part of a natural phase of experimentation to discover how far you can push a particular medium. For the Luna series, I used block printmaking ink to introduce the soft feathered white petals and bright white highlights.

Not my people. Just random strangers. I enjoy snapping photos of situations in the moment. My object of affection is "Laocoön" by El Greco which I had not been able to visit for a little while. I'm not sure why, but the curators seem to keep moving it around in the museum. It's like going on an treasure hunt...or maybe it's just me. I once traveled across the country just to see this painting.
