I think a lot about small details in both the way I live and the way I work. I have realized it’s not so much about stopping to smell the roses but the act of noticing and then pausing. You have to see or notice the roses first right? But let’s take it further and notice the tiny inch worm on the petal of the rose.
To date, I have about 40 mixed media works that are part of the Wild Flowers series. Originally I thought I would create maybe around 10 pieces but I just kept going. Now that time has passed I can see that the work will continue to grow and evolve. Recently I stopped putting goal numbers on series and just let them play out naturally…let’s see where these wild blooms take us, shall we?
